BOMBANANA! Player Manual
Set up Blind, Deaf and Mute roles, standardize BOMBANANA! callouts, and use a confirm-before-action relay for safer first runs.
Fast call
BOMBANANA! requires exactly three players. The Blind Monkey can touch the bomb but cannot see colors or read screens. The Mute Monkey can read the bomb-disposal manual but cannot speak. The Deaf Monkey can see the bomb and gestures but cannot hear. Every solve therefore needs a deliberate relay; no single role has the complete answer.
Before the timer starts
- Assign Blind, Deaf and Mute by comfort, then swap later if one communication channel repeatedly fails.
- Define gestures for yes, no, wait, repeat, back, and digits zero through nine.
- Agree that left and right mean the Blind Monkey's viewpoint unless a module guide states otherwise.
- Decide that nobody cuts, presses, types, flips or submits until the instruction is repeated back and confirmed.
- Choose one caller at a time when two modules are active.
Universal callout
Use the same order every time: module name → position → observed state → manual answer → repeat-back → confirm → action. A good call starts with ‘Switch, upper right’ rather than an unattached string of colors. The handler repeats the final action, the manual holder confirms, and only then does the handler act.
Recovery
After a wrong input, stop and reread the live module. Do not assume the old LED, number, stage or answer remains valid. Preserve only facts everyone still agrees on. If the rule is unclear, open the relevant module guide; if correct answers keep dying in transit, change the relay or role assignment instead.
